This piece has excluded the main reason we have incessant collapse of building in Nigeria.

The cause of building collapse in Nigeria is the non engagement of Builders to execute the actual production of the buildings.

Therefore, the solution is the engagement of CORBON Registered Builders to be in charge of the Building Production Management, this is in line with the Nigerian National Building Code.

Until this is done, building with continue to collapse in more alarming rate.

I vehemently disagree with your write up regarding the omission of the key professional trained to handle the building production process, which is a Builder. All the drawings from the architect, structural engineer, MEP engineers wouldn’t come into fruition if a Professional Builder is not engaged. It is hightime the needful is done is giving the Builders their flowers and allowing them play their role in order to achieve quality and structurally sound buildings with uncompromising integrity.
